Breaking: Karim Benzema To Play In The world Cup Final.
Despite missing the remainder of the season due to injury, Karim Benzema may play for France against Argentina in the World Cup final.

Benzema was forced to withdraw from the World Cup due to a thigh injury sustained during training in Qatar on the day of the tournament. When he took a flight back to Madrid to begin working on his recovery, it appeared that his chances of competing in the competition were over.

The 34-year-rupture old's was granted a three-week recovery period, and he expected to lose his spot on the team when he left Doha. He joined the list of injured players that included Paul Pogba, Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe, N'Golo Kante, and Christopher Nkunku.

"I've never given up in my life, but tonight, as I always do, I have to think of the team," he wrote on Instagram at the time. "So logic tells me to give my spot to someone who can help our squad have a successful World Cup."

However, on the eve of France's first match against Australia, manager Didier Deschamps decided not to bring in a replacement. As a result of Les Bleus' 2-0 victory over Morocco on Wednesday night, he has worked with 25 players rather than 26 in Qatar.

The official FIFA World Cup squad list still includes Benzema. After some rest and relaxation, the Ballon d'Or winner is back in full training with Real Madrid.

He may also fly back to Qatar before the championship game, according to Mundo Deportivo.
